Responsibilities:
- Administrate our DC Infrastructure Compute / Storage / Backup & Switches environment;
- Respond to 2nd/3rd line escalations through to resolution;
- Collaborate with the global team on any Global operations, initiatives and project roll outs;
- Support in planning, managing, improving and implementing projects to suit business needs and help achieve business goals;
- Ensure all changes and improvements are performed efficiently, with minimal disruption to the BAU;
- Work with Stakeholders across the business to ensure the successful integration of new mergers/acquisitions;
- Provision new systems, test and roll out software s, and assist with office moves and relocations;
- Liaise with third party support and external suppliers to maintain ongoing software and hardware support.
- Experience with VMware, IP, WAN, and LAN/WiFi;
- Knowledge of Compute / Storage / Backup & Switches;
- Knowledge of routing and switching network technologies such as MPLS, BGP, OSPF, 802.1X, HSRP, VRRP, WLAN, NAC, SDWAN or DDI
- In-depth knowledge of the TCP / IP protocol IPv4 / IPv6;
- Professional certifications advantageous;
- Professional experience as DC infrastructure engineer advantageous;
- Experience working in an IT Project environment;
- Understanding of ITIL would be ideal;
- Execute technology successfully by minimal downtime as well as disruption;
- Programming knowledge in one of the following languages: Python, PowerShell;
- Write infrastructure related s to automate all manual tasks plus streamline operational activities;
- You have a degree in computer science or have completed an IT-related apprenticeship - young professionals with an affinity for IT are also welcome;
- At least 3 years hands on experience within IT Infrastructure and IT Projects
